So, does this mean Phil Hughes has won the 5th starter competition? Let’s not forget that the Yankees were considering Alfredo Aceves and Sergio Mitre for the job as well. If Hughes has the job, I think they made the right decision.

     I asked my readers who should be the Yankees 5th starter, and the majority chose Phil Hughes. I would have to agree with them. Now if Andy decides to come back..I would be fine with that.
