There is an artist out there who is carving a picture of the original Yankee Stadium on Opening Day (1923). I’ve never seen anything else like it, and it’s definitely a One of a kind piece. This is the type of artwork belongs to a true Yankees fan. This project is expected to take 12 weeks to finish, and is done all by hand! It’s 36″ by 22″. The final pieces of old Yankee Stadium came down today, and there is nothing left but rubble. The Gate 6 stairs tower and ticket booths were the last pieces to go. All that’s left now is the cleanup. It will be interesting to see what it will look like a few months from now, and what will take it’s place. This concludes the demolition coverage of old Yankee Stadium. Good Bye, old friend.

Last night you got the feeling that those Yankee ghosts officially crossed the street to the new stadium. Many players said that when they first visited the new ballpark it didn’t have that intimidating feeling yet. With 17 walk-offs combine in the regular season and postseason, and 5 straight playoff wins later..I bet they feel different now.

Those loyal Yankee fans standing behind the team deep into the night yesterday witnessed a miracle in the Bronx.

Ruth, Gehrig, Dimaggio, Mantle…they have arrived
