Grade for the Year: B-
His grade would have been higher if he hadn’t signed Clemens or Igawa. Outside of those two signings, he had a pretty solid year. This year he started to offload talent (Wright, Sheffield, Johnson) that had been for the most part bad fits on the team and in return he received boatloads of prospects. He even welcomed back Pettitte in this year as well.
